How much do you love books? How much do you love manuals, sketchbooks and notebooks?
And how much do you love the world of paper  and the smell of a book pages? 

This kickstarter might be for you if your answer is “a lot!”.

Book of Fantasies is designed to make your manuscript unique:you can adorning it with some 3D decorative elements.

You can make your favorite book unique, you can create a grimoire to use in your role-playing games or you can make beautiful the collector where you keep the papers of all of your dead or alive characters.

The Book of Fantasies is a project designed to the creation of a 3D printable, decorated and modular cover that can be applied to the original book cover without the need to intervene on this last one.

Thanks to a screw-in system you can apply your 3D cover without the need to perforate the original cover or without the need of glues or adhesives.

Before we begin, two important reports for you:

• You can stay up-to-date on all our projects and news by subscribing to our newsletter, but not only that, you will immediately find some free stl files in it.

A cover is composed of 4 basic areas:

1) some corners, which will fit on the original cover.

2) a center front panel.

3) some bars that can direct and regulate the distances between the center panel and the corners, so that it can be centered.

4) a rigid book rib.

Everything is designed to be tightened with bolt and screw systems.

The covers are designed for A4 size. The side bars and the abundant holes in the center panel allow for adaptation even to similar sizes or variations of a few cm.

Each cover has personalized designs to meet everyone’s needs, from horror, fantasy, historical, romance, and more.
These covers are also ideal for your role-playing game manuals, or for creating a manuscript in your live-action role-playing games.

During the campaign, as is our custom, we will collect all your suggestions for the creation of new sculptures to be implemented in the kickstarter.

Your support and your interaction with the campaign will be our stimulus in creating stretch goals, so do not forget to share the project with your friends and on your social networks.

New to Kickstarter? Never used Kickstarter before? No problem! The number of people pledging to tabletop games projects is growing all the time making the projects bigger day by day. I’m glad to have you on board!

Becoming a backer is very simple. Just follow these steps:

• Step 1: Look through the banners at the top right corner of this page and click on the reward level you’d like to receive. You will also be able to insert some add-ons to your rewards.

-If you already own a 3D printer, it’s cheap and also funny, you will print unique and incredible quality models.

-If you don’t own a 3D printer, it can be an opportunity to buy one! Costs for a printer are already low and accessible to anyone. You can still use a service like: 3D hub, shapeways, or any other that the net are crowding.

–No shipping cost! Anywhere in the universe, you just download the files and print! -You can print it as many times as you want, for you and your friends.

The models have been tested by us, and are made to be applied to notebooks or books with hard or semi-rigid covers that can still support the structure.

The covers are designed for A4 size , the side bars and abundant holes in the center panel allow for adaptation even to similar sizes or variations of a few cm.

In order to be able to adapt the covers to smaller or larger formats we recommend scaling the center panel while leaving the rest of the structure unchanged, however, it is important before going to print to make measurements and calculations based on the book in your possession.
Unfortunately, no matter how hard you try, you cannot create a universal cover for all books, but by adapting this center panel to your needs you can certainly cover a wide range.

The covers can be mounted thanks to a system of screws and bolts, our tests were satisfactory, but depending on the quality of your printing, possible shrinkage or swelling of your filament, humidity etc, the size of the screws might slightly vary by not tightening more properly.
Before printing the whole set we suggest doing a test with one screw and consider enlarging or reducing it by 1-2% depending on your result.

The parts were all designed to be printed without supports, but some parts turn out to be more critical for details and mechanical functions, so for some of you who always demand maximum results and detail from your prints we suggest activating supports on some of these parts.

Thickness inserted inside the cover could force the rib and deform the book over time, so we recommend not applying it to valuable books.

Finally, if you intend to mount the cover on a valuable manual or book, we suggest inserting cloth, or paper to protect the original cover.

By buying the rights of these files you will be

Allowed to:

– Print the 3D miniatures

– Print them for friends

– Print in 3D and resell the printed miniature in 3D

-Use render/prints and other derivatives of the file for promotional purposes.

-Modify the file according to needs and educational purposes

– Modified derivative files may be sold printed in 3D

-Use the models inside videogames, indicating their origin -use templates for videos and creative projects

Not allowed:

– Use the files to create molds for mass production

– sell the files for profit

– Distribute the file to third parties

-Sell the sculptures to shopkeepers and retailers

-Grant intellectual rights to third parties

-Authorize third parties to sell the sculptures, in any form whatsoever

-Indicate Hera’stone  as assistance for sculptures sold to clients.

-Use the sculptures for profit in any form not specified in the contract

-Sell any intellectual property of Crosslances and colalboratories without having pre-approval

Any item not specified in the contract shall be deemed unauthorised unless expressly permitted by Crosslances, in which case please contact us prior to purchase.

It is asked in addition to Crosslances where is possible.

For all the remaining details we stick to the common creative.

These rights are valid for life time, according to the selected pledge.
